The Blue Mosque-Islamic Center of Waco, situated at 2725 Benton Dr. near I-35, has the distinction of being the first mosque in the greater Waco community. Since its founding in 1987, the mosque has adhered to Sunni-Muslim traditions while fostering an all-inviting environment that also allows all sects of Islam to worship on the premises. Serving as a pioneering institution, the Blue Mosque represents a unique opportunity to deepen one's understanding of Islam. It is open to visitors from diverse religious backgrounds and frequently hosts churches, synagogues, and collegiate courses seeking to expand their knowledge of Islam.
