The Islamic Center of Waco rebrands and moves to renovate to become “The Blue Mosque: Islamic Center of Waco”. Becoming more of a national presence and center for the Islamic Faith in America.

2020-2024
The Islamic Center of Waco has been appointed to have board members on several Waco and Baylor organizations, promoting diversity and inclusivity in the organizational structure.
2019
The Islamic Center of Waco, in conjunction with Baylor University, offers its first-ever Continuing Education Class, “The Truth About Islam.” The class is filled immediately and ends up being a mass success.
The Islamic Center of Waco hosts its first annual Ramadan "Iftar" dinner, inviting all members of the community to break bread with their Muslim counterparts. The event has become increasingly popular over the years, promoting interfaith dialogue and cultural understanding among the diverse attendees.

The Islamic Center of Waco and Baylor University collaborate to open the first Islamic History bookshelf at Baylor University, which is an esteemed Baptist community.
2008
The Islamic Center of Waco becomes a mandatory visiting site for the World Religions Course at Baylor University and Al Siddiq is made an adjunct lecturer.
2006
The Islamic Center of Waco joins the Greater Waco Interfaith Council, a coalition of different faiths in the area, to promote interfaith harmony and understanding. Al Siddiq was the board president in 2008 and made significant contributions to the cause of interfaith dialogue.
2001
In the aftermath of 9/11, the Islamic Center of Waco aimed to build bridges and understanding between communities in America and began to speak at and host various religious communities to educate them about Islam. Since then, the center has collectively spoken at over 100 different religious institutes.
1987
The Islamic Center of Waco was established to provide a place of worship for the local Waco Muslim community by Al Siddiq
